Ease
Project Overview
W hen stress and work take control of your life, it’s time to do something different, and that’s exactly what Srinivasa Kandadi did after suffering a heart attack due to work-related stress.
Over the next several years, Srinivasa practiced yoga to help with the stress, and after countless experiments and training exercises, he began to develop his own routine, where he saw his body repair itself and eventually reverse some of his previous health issues. Srinivasa’s yoga practice began shortly afterwards, and he decided that a masterclass app might be another way to help his students.
"I look back, I remember the stressed and harmful lifestyle I was living and the diseases it created. I am now on a mission to help people get rid of lifestyle
diseases, stress and medications. What I am sharing in this app is my daily routine and the fundamentals I practice every day. Its time to switch from being
reactive and be more proactive.”
- Srinivasa Kandadi
Red Shepard designed and built Srinivasa’s masterclass app, converting his yoga practice to a mobile platform for his students. The app includes a two-month plan with videos to help with stress relief, light meditation, breathing, and posture correction. From the design process through deployment, our team worked closely with Srinivasa to ensure every aspect of the app exceeded his expectations, and we bring this same drive and expectation to every project we work on.
The Technology
The most important aspect of this project was design. The app had to relay a sense of calm and relaxation, yet it needed to present it's content in a flavorful, friendly, and easy-to-follow format. All the design was done in house by Red Shepard, and we feel that we've accomplished these design goals. As for the rest of the project, the app itself is comprised of an iOS app, and an Android app - built natively in Swift 3.0 and Java, respectively. The app accesses privately hosted Youtube videos using a small API.
